Welcome to Donation Kiosk Centres
of Canada Inc. (DKCC). This section contains information about how
your charity can sign up with DKCC to enjoy the advantages of
registration.
How
does it work?
Donors go to one of our physical kiosk
locations, deployed in facilities across the country, where
foot traffic is high and giving donations is common, select
the charity or charities they wish to donate to and process
the donation on their debit or credit card. Donations made
through DKCC are donor-directed gifts. Donors choose which
charity they want their funds to go to, and DKCC disburses
those funds to the charity. An official tax receipt for each
donation is instantly issued to the donor.
When a charity is signed up with DKCC,
they receive these funds weekly by Electronic Funds Transfer
(EFT) directly into their bank accounts. The value DKCC
offers Canadian charities rests on the fact that our kiosk
systems are located in locations where opportunity and
convenience are key ingredients in the giving process. This
only works if charities sign up with us to receive
EFTs.
What
are the advantages of registering with DKCC
?
Signing up with DKCC is easy. It only
takes a few minutes, is free and bears no obligation on your
charity. Once your registration is processed, your charity’s
name will be added to our list of charities available to
donate to all of our general donation kiosks. We will
also provide receipting on your behalf at the kiosk which will
follow a standardized sequential numbering format unique to
your charity.
Sharing the costs of collection means
greater returns
The cost of deploying and maintaining a
general donation kiosk is relatively high. By allowing
many charities to give on the same system ensures that the
kiosk is used and all charities benefit. The cost to the
charity is simply the cost of the debit and credit card
processing fees, bank fees, and disbursement charges. There
are no set-up, registration or monthly fees associated with
using our service.
